Is the weight of my chinchilla agree?
I have a male chinchilla that is about four and a half months old. It weighs only 207 grams and does not seem putting on weight as a child seems to be growing, which only holds 207. Should I be expecting a rapid growth of it, where profits up the "standard" weight?
207 gm is very, very small for 4-1/2 chin one months old. Wean my kits at 6-8 weeks old and never less 300 g at weaning. Are you sure of your age? Could be younger than you think? The golden rule (not 100% all the time, but in general) is 100 grams per month. So for 4-1/2 months, should be 450 to 500 g in weight wise. Not even wean a kit of 207 gm of it's mother, not to mention sell a house new. You really can not answer here as well as I wanted, because in reality there is a forum created for the question and answer round. I will advise you to compose this Supplement: cup of powdered goat milk substitute 1 (make sure they have no antibiotics in it) 1 cup shredded very fine, pellets 1 1 / 2 cup baby rice and half oatmeal baby cereal Vary your diet and kept in the cage with him at all times. Other than that, please drop me an email or come to http://www.chins-n-hedgies.com so we can help with this small. If you are not winning at all, there's something wrong here and we can try and help you get to the bottom of it.
